Lenovoku sebelum terbakar

Saat kita baca-baca artikel di internet soal laptop meledak atau terbakar, suka geleng-geleng kepala. Kok bisa ya?. Penyebabnya apa? Mereka sendiri kadang nggak tau persis. Dan sekarang aku benar-benar mengalaminya. Laptop Lenovo g485 punyaku terbakar!!! What ???.

Lenovo ini kubeli di salah satu stan peserta pameran komputer Apkomindo di Diamond Convention Hall, Solo awal tahun 2013. Harganya Rp 3 jt kurang dikit. Ada hadiah tas ransel, kipas, karet pelindung keypad. Salesnya menawarkan aku supaya mengambil barang display supaya aku tinggal bawa, nggak perlu nunggu instal ini-itu. Oke, kataku.

Sesudahnya, laptop ini bisa dibilang jarang kupakai. Sepekan paling-paling tiga kali dengan durasi sekitar 2 jam. Biasanya kupake malam hari buat browsing (kartu Smartfren modem Huawei). Pun kalo batre sudah hampir habis, acara main laptop kusudahi lalu kumatikan dan kucharge dalam keadaan mati.

Selama sekitar dua pekan nggak ada masalah dengan penggunaan Lenovo ini. Tapi kalo nggak salah pekan ketiga cerita tragis ini terjadi. Saat itu aku baru saja make laptop di rumah sakit. Maklum, saat itu salah satu anakku lagi opname jadi pas sedang longgar kumanfaatin buat browsing. Malam itu sudah ngantuk banget. Lalu aku putuskan untuk segera tidur. Laptop kumatikan. Kebetulan juga batre juga mau habis. So setelah kumatikan, laptop aku charge lalu aku pun rebahan di sofa. Biasanya nge-charge sekitar 2 jam (pokoknya kalo sudah full kucabut).

Baru berjalan sekitar satu menit, istriku yang kebetulan juga belum tidur teriak-teriak dan telunjuknya mengarah ke laptopku. Segera saja aku nengok dan aku mendapati Lenovo sudah berasap. Buru-buru kabel charge aku cabut dari steker listrik. Untung kabelnya belum sempet terbakar dan saat itu juga tidak terjadi korsleting listrik.

Sungguh panik. Setelah kubiarkan sesaat, lalu kubuka Lenovonya. Bau “kebakaran” sangat kuat. Asap masih mengepul dan berasal dari samping kibor sebelah kiri. Laptop juga terasa masih panas. Tapi saat itu tidak ada yang terlihat meleleh. Kukira sumber asap itu masih berada di dalam. Lalu kututup lagi dan keesokan harinya kubawa untuk perbaikan/servis ke toko saya beli.

Di sana aku sudah cerita kronologisnya dan katanya perbaikannya masih digaransi. Ya iyalah. Baru dua atau tiga pekan sejak beli. Kemungkinan, kerusakan ada pada motherboard. Penyebabnya belum diketahui karena sampai tulisan ini diposting itu laptop belum jadi juga. L Charger juga diminta sama pihak servisan.

Sungguh nggak nyangka peristiwa ini bakal terjadi di aku.

Lenovo burnt

When we read articles on the internet about the notebook explode or burnt, we ar wondering. How could it happen?. Why? But some do not know exactly. And now it happen to me. Lenovo g485 of mine was just smoked!!! What???.

I Bought the Lenovo in one of the exhibitors booth at computer Apkomindo Diamond Convention Hall, Solo early 2013. The price is Rp 3 milions. There is a backpack, fan, protective rubber keypad for free. The salesman offer me to take displayed one, then I don’t need to wait for the installation of this or that. Okay, I said.

Afterward, the laptop is arguably rarely wear. Its about 3 times a week and the duration of about 2 hours. Usually i used that at night for browsing (using Smartfren card modem Huawei). And if the battery is running low, I turned off the notebook and then charge it.

For about two weeks there’s no problem with the use of this Lenovo. But the third week of this tragic story started. At that time I just use notebook at the hospital. That night I was really sleepy. Then I decided to go to bed. I turned off then Lenovo and charge it. I usually charge about 2 hours (unplugged when it fullly charged).

The charging was running for about a minute, but my wife who was also awake screaming and finger pointing at my Lenovo. I found that Lenovo had smoky. Hastily I unplug the charge cable from the power plug. Fortunately, the cord has not burned yet and no electrical short circuit.

Panic ofcourse. Once I let a moment, then opened Lenovo. The smell of “fire” is very strong. And smoke billowing from the left side of the keyboard. Notebook also was still hot. But there was nothing is melting. I think the source of the smoke was from inside the body of the Lenovo. Then I closed again and the next day I brought for repairs / servicing to the store I bought.

Maybe there is damage in the motherboard. The cause is unknown as I wrote this. Really never thought this would happen to me.
